Jeff/RichardMinute062: Borrow your Heart
Richard (from Monti) came over yesterday, and in between eating dinner and watching The Wire we improvised this little thing. Sounds sorta.. tender, doesn't it? I like it. What a voice that dude has...

Yeah, having listened to this some more i will say that it sounds pretty damn sweet. Richard uses his voice in interesting ways. I can't really make out what he's actually singing but i imagine him lamenting a lost love.
I'm not sure either, since it was an improv, but listening back it must've been something like (whatever the something something is):
It’s hard to find, the questions in our mind
It’s hard to find, the right, lyrics to our rimes
But I keep trying, I try
If only I could "something something"
To borrow your heart.
haha, forgive me I have a fever, should've been rhyme of course.
Wow, impressive; poetry on the fly! Every time i listen to this i like it more. It's actually a very touching minute. Thanks for posting the lyrics, they really add to the experience!
Oh, haha! I thought the "something something" was an actual part of the lyrics. I assumed that it referred to "it's hard to find the right lyrics to our rhymes".
Quite poetic really: if only he could find that "something something" that would allow him to 'borrow the heart' of his partner.
He wishes he could reach out to his partner but he can't seem to find the words that will communicate successfully what he feels and so he leaves that part open. Just like you would when writing lyrics in parts where the appropriate words haven't been found yet.
I interpreted it to be about an estranged relationship. Two lovers who've slowly drifted apart yet the one still yearns for the other and he desperately wonders how he can mend the broken yarns.
Anyway... having listened to it again closely i'm pretty sure you are saying: "If only i could find the lawn, spray the lawn." Like... wtf!?
